Mom's visit to the LBK.

We were very excited to have my Mom come visit Lubbock for a week in May. The girls loved seeing Grandma Katie, and from what we could see, Grandma Katie got quite a kick out of seeing her "most active grandkids". (That's Grandma speak for "your kids are super-hyperactive and probably need to be sedated").

We took Grandma to the National Ranch Heritage Center where they've brought old original frontier homes and put them in a walk-about museum format where you can see all the different styles of building that were out here in Texas before the rest of the population.

Grandma bought the girls a slip-n-slide.
Analise was a little bit afraid of it, so Daddy had to show her how it worked. This actually hurt me a little, which makes for sign #85 that I'm getting old. (#84 other is my receding hairline).

One of the girls' favorite parts of Grandma's visit, is that Grandma does stretches and a walk every morning. Analise loved doing stretches w/ Grandma, and they loved getting to start the day out by heading to the park to play while Grandma did her laps around the park.

Thanks for coming Grandma Katie! We had tons of fun. One special residual of Grandma Katie's visit is that Analise has requested a few times at night that we "pray like Grandma Katie" which means we all kneel in a circle holding hands. The girls seem to love this, and it's made our prayers a little more special and gives us a little reminder of Grandma Katie's visit.
