First soccer game

Analise had her first soccer game last Saturday. The highlights:
1. Her coach lined the team up in their defensive formation, and said "stand here". The other team kicked off, and dribbled right through them, and scored a goal w/o any opposition. Not one kid on her team even moved one step, they were told to stand there and that's exactly what they did.
2. After the goal, the coach explained that after the ball was kicked, they could go get it & kick it in the goal... so this time they went right for the ball and kicked it into their own goal. (Hey, this was progress in my mind).
3. Now that they had the idea, the coach explained that they should try to kick it in the other goal... they never got close again (the other team was a lot more advanced).

We had a lot of fun watching her, but let's just say she didn't have a lot of fun playing. I didn't count, but I think there were at least 3 times she ran off the field crying because she was a little scared of the massive pack of kids chasing the ball. If the ball got close, she would make sure to get away and keep a safe distance. The coach kept telling her the ball didn't have teeth & wouldn't bite her, but she wasn't about to find out.
